The 2015 Music Nation Awards nominations were announced and Madonna and Taylor Swift lead this year's nominees with 10 nominations each. The pop powerhouses will square off against each other each major category including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Video of the Year. They will also be competing in the Best Pop Performance categories, Best Female Performance categories & Best Concert - Large Venue. Madonna earned nomination in the Best Dance Song category while Taylor received a nod for Best Collaboration. 

Both artists cap of extraordinary years. Madonna returned with one of her best albums in years which yielded two No. 1 songs and videos on The Music Nation Charts. Her album also debuted at No. 1 on The Music Nation's Top 100 Albums & is still on the chart. Madonna also launched the Rebel Hour Tour which has been one of the top grossing tours of the year. Madonna's 10 nominations also extend her lead as the Most Nominated Artist in The Music Nation's history with 148 nominations total since 1984. She has 73 wins - also another feat that no other artist is even close to. Madge is sure to add to that number come the end of December when the winners are announced. 

Taylor Swift released her first full foray into pop at the end of the last year. "1989" spent over a full year in the Top 20 on The Music Nation's Top 100 Albums setting a new record and the album spawned 4 consecutive No. 1 songs on The Music Nation's Top 100 Songs and 2 No. 1 videos on the video chart. Taylor embarked on a the massive 1989 World Tour and consistently sold out stadiums worldwide. This year marks the most nominations Taylor has received from The Music Nation. 

Florence + The Machine and Big Sean are close behind to Madonna & Taylor with nine nominations each including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. Florence earned nominations in the Best Group & Best Rock categories while Big Sean earned noms in the Best Male & Best Hip-Hip/Rap categories. Lana Del Rey, The Weeknd, and Marilyn Manson all received 7 nominations each. 

This year's winners will be announced on December 27th after the Top 100 Songs of 2015 are unveiled.
